Re: Agenda for August Number Portability Steering Committee

The next Steering Committee meeting for local number portability in Illinois will be held at the Illinois Commerce Commission's offices at 160 N. LaSalle, 8th floor, Chicago, IL, on Thursday, August 21 at 9:30a. An agenda is attached.

This is an extremely important meeting. We will be right in the midst of the FCC Field Test and an update is expected. Also, this is the final Steering Committee meeting prior to the LNP Task Force number pooling report being filed with the ICC on September 2, 1998. The minutes of the last Steering Committee meeting and an updated Steering Committee distribution list will soon be posted at www.ported.com. Those of you without internet access may contact me to receive these documents via other arrangements.

I will be looking for a "volunteer" to take minutes at this month's meeting. If you have any questions please call me at 312-814-6025. I urge anyone bringing handouts/presentations to the meeting to make at least 30 copies available.
